Producer Byron O. Thomas AKA Mannie Fresh is spreading his post Cash Money Records wings even further with his Chubby Boy Records and a newly signed distribution deal with Deep Entertainment.

Fresh has teamed up with Deep Entertainment, the minds behind the distribution of DJ Drama's Gangsta Grillz mixtape series, to put out his own personal projects as well as showcase his wide range of musical talents.

Rumor has it that his first line of business under his new contract will be to release Return Of The Ballin, a follow-up to 2004's The Mind Of Mannie Fresh.

Armed with the motivation to start their own "independent music revolution," Deep Entertainment's Public Relations Director Nicole Murray says she's confident Mannie Fresh will fit right in.

"Deep Entertainment is a rising star among independent labels," Murray said in a statement. "Boasting the ability to pair creative, outside-the-box distribution channels as well as the traditional methods of retail and digital release with a full set of in house services including marketing, radio promotions and publicity, Deep Entertainment is revolutionizing the way independent music is released and received by the market place."

After Return Of The Ballin's rumored October release, it is said that Fresh will start releasing material by acts from his Chubby Boy label.

1. I haven't heard Manny Rap without Cash Money but I believe this was the best thing he could have done, so coming from an Old School 7th Ward Player we are glad to have you back. P.S. Remember were it all started
