A contestant from the widely popular Bravo TV show Project Runway is suing R&B giant Beyonce over costumes for her I Am... tour, reports say.
Chris March, the third runner-up in the fourth season of the reality show, has reportedly filed suit against Beyonce
and the tour's creative advisor, Terry Mugler, claiming he has not been
paid for the outfits he helped creative for the singer's worldwide
trek.
March is now looking to collect $43,500 in damages, what he says he is owed, says CocoPerez.com.
Beyonce has yet to issue any statement on the bad news of March's suit, but she was hit with a stroke of good news earlier this week when it was announced that she would be the recipient of Billboard's 2009 Woman of the Year Award.
"Beyonce is multi-platinum artist and a
multi-talented woman who clearly embodies the qualities of excellence
and achievement that the Billboard Woman Of The Year Award was created
to honor," said Bill Werde, Billboard's Editorial Director.
"She has not only influenced pop culture with her hit songs and
signature dance moves, but has inspired women everywhere with her
unique style, business savvy and dedication to charitable causes."
"It is an honor to be named Woman of The Year by Billboard," said Beyonce. "I am humbled by this award."
