The rapper will provide back packs, school supplies, free food and health screenings to local kids at his second annual charity event, Rick Ross Be Out Day. He’ll also present the Rick Ross Charities, Inc. Scholarship Award to a deserving Carol City Senior High graduate, according to a press release.
Last year, Ross drafted
Flo Rida, Yung Joc, Gorilla Zoe, DJ Khaled and a host of other hip-hop artists to take the stage at the park for the 2,500 plus people that came out for the previous event. A talent bill hasn’t yet been released for this year’s show.
The goal of Be Out Day is to “promote education, advocacy and social responsibility,” according to a press release, and will be held August 6 from noon to 5 p.m. at Miami Carol City Park. It’s sponsored in part by the City of Miami Gardens, The Children Trust and MediumFour.
