With a new album, a successful tour, and flourishing fashion presence, producer Pharrell Williams is gettin' his grown man on and starting with a clean slate...quite literally. The N.E.R.D frontman and fashion trend setter revealed this week to Brittish Vogue that his tattoos no longer fit his lifestyle and so he is trying a revolutionary new tattoo removal procedure, which involves applying replicated skin over old body art. "It's basically like getting a skin graft, but you're not taking skin from your ass or your legs. These guys actually grow the skin for you," he explained. "First you have to give them a sample of your skin, which they then replicate. Once that's been done, they sew it on - and it's seamless." The current--and most common-- form of tattoo removal is laser treatment which is not only a lengthy process, but excruciatingly painful. The new grafting procedure should be a faster, less painful alternative.
Sound pricey? That's because it is. While Pharrell wouldn't give exact numbers, he did say that regardless of the price he plans to go ahead with the procedure:
"It's going to be pricey, but worth it," he says. "I got fire on my arms! I'm a grown man!"

Multiplatinum-selling hip-hop artist Nas is teaming up with Fila to promote the sportswear company's new Italia Footwear collection. Nas will be featured in a marketing campaign centered around the men's footwear line set to debut in August. Fila's print advertisements featuring NAS will begin running this month in Vibe, XXL, Giant and Fader magazines. Nas Featured In NEW YORK Magazine 
Fila's U.S. headquarters is located in Sparks. Financial terms of the endorsement deal were not disclosed. The ads will coincide with the release of Nas' 10th album set to hit stores July 15. A Fila TV commercial featuring Nas will run nationwide on that date on cable network BET. The footwear line will be available mainly at Foot Locker (NYSE: FL) locations and other independent retailers. Nas will wear the shoes during concerts, music videos and other promotional events. Fila and Nas will also team to create an 1980s-era footwear and apparel collection slated to be released in time for the 2008 holiday season. | | No comments for this item |

 Amy Winehouse hit the stage at the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts on Saturday in Pilton, England. During her performance of “Some Unholy War,” Winehouse sang the lyric, “At least I’m not opening for a c*** 4 hour late, like Kanye.” Listen Below. West has already responded in an entry on his blog where he said, “Amy Winehouse hates me!!! Now I’ve really made it!!!  Ash Knotek/Snappers/ZUMAPress.com In addition to the gossip purveyor, which just posted the footage yesterday, Troyer has also sued One Night in Paris peddler Kevin Blatt. He claims that Blatt, who's known for his celeb-porn brokering ways, somehow acquired the stolen tape and , according to TMZ, is currently entertaining a $100,000 distribution offer from SugarDVD. The adult-film rental company, which at press time was touting the newfound existence of a "full-length 50 minute video of Mini-Me in bed with a hot, young, FULL SIZED sexy woman" on its website, was also named as a defendant in the suit, per documents filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles and obtained by E! News. Troyer, who can currently be seen engaging in shameless little-person humor in The Love Guru, is seeking $20 million in damages, as well as attorneys' fees and an injunction prohibiting any further showing of the video.
A rep for TMZ didn't immediately respond to an email request for comment. Troyer is alleging violation of privacy, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, violation of right to publicity, and misappropriation of name and likeness. | | No comments for this item |
