Atlanta Woman Who Accused NBA Star Shaquille O'Neal of Stalking Drops Request for Restraining Order ATLANTA NOV 13 2008 — An Atlanta woman who accused NBA star Shaquille O'Neal of stalking and threatening her has withdrawn her request for a permanent restraining order against him. A judge had been set to hear the case Thursday after several continuances. But documents filed late Wednesday in Fulton County Superior Court show that Alexis Miller has withdrawn her request. It wasn't immediately clear whether the two sides had agreed to settle the case. Miller's lawyer, David Wolfe, did not immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday morning. Drew Findling, a lawyer for O'Neal, also did not immediately return a call Thursday. Miller, a 23-year-old hip-hop artist who goes by Maryjane, had said the Phoenix Suns center sent her threatening e-mails, harassed her by phone and said he would ruin her career after she broke off a relationship with him in July. Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch is now called "The Sycamore Valley Ranch" 
TMZ published several stories earlier this year, in which we said Colony Capital bailed Jacko out by buying his $23.5 million Neverland mortgage. According to official documents, the title to Neverland was transferred Monday to a company called Sycamore Valley Ranch Company LLC. Now here's where the plot thickens.
Sycamore is a joint venture between Michael Jackson and a division of a company called Colony Capital. Colony Capital owns the Las Vegas Hilton, the Red Rock Country Club, and other Las Vegas properties. The man behind Colony Capital, Thomas Barrack, Jr. is a Vegas mover and shaker, and there's a buzz in Vegas that Jackson could end up performing at the Hilton and living in the Red Rock Country Club. In fact, we reported this earlier in the year.
So now, Neverland is owned by both Jackson and Barrack's company. Will Jacko perform at Barrack's hotel? Stay tuned.
BTW, we were told the property will NOT BE CALLED NEVERLAND ANYMORE. It will be renamed the Sycamore Valley Ranch, in an attempt to erase those pesky child molestation rumors, even though Jackson was criminally acquitted. Source: TMZ.com | | This item includes 8 comments |
