Meth's money troubles dates back to March 2009, when the Department of Taxation had repossessed his Lincoln Navigator after he failed to pay $52,503 in arrears. He blamed his financial burdens on smoking too much marijuana.

"Myself, I'm a pothead," he told New York's Daily News in March. "It's no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, (the tax department) sent letters to my house saying, 'We need this money.' They started sending them in 2002. Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this shit, because I don't think like that!"

Method Man was arranged at the Stapleton Criminal Court in Staten Island and was released on his own recognition. He is due back in court on December 9.
