Rihanna's News Album will Drop November 2009

Accented by promises of an all-star production cast and "edgier" sound, Rihanna's new album has been given the green light for a November release date, sources are saying.

Rihanna is set to put an optimistic cap on a rough year, as Play.com is reporting that she'll be releasing her third album, a follow-up to 2007's Good Girl Gone Bad, on November 23.

Rumor has it that Rihanna will make her post-Chris Brown scandal musical debut with the help of Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, The Dream, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Akon, Justin Timberlake, Soulja Boy, Pharrell Williams, and, of course, Jay-Z.

"Expect an edgier, almost angrier Rihanna on this one. Rihanna says some things on this album that you've never heard her say before," Ne-Yo told E! News during this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Akon, another of her rumored collaborators, also spoke on what fans can expect from Rihanna on this effort, seemingly contradicting Ne-Yo's take.

"I'm going to lighten her up. I don't want an angry Rihanna," Akon explained.

Rihanna has most recently been featured in Jay-Z's smash hit Run This Town alongside Kanye West.

In addition to performing with her mentors at a live Madison Square Garden concert, she was recently graced the stage with them on the premiere of The Jay Leno Show
