June 18, 2009 In the wake of his divorce from his estranged wife Tameka Foster, R&B singer Usher has filed for joint custody of his two children.
As previously reported by Yo! Raps, Usher and his former stylist wife recently announced their plans to call it quits after just two years of marriage. First dismissed as a rumor, Usher cemented the claims when he filed the official divorce papers at Georgia's Fulton County Superior Court last week. Documents obtained by E! Online confirmed the couple has been living apart for over a year and that Usher has filed for joint custody of their children Usher Raymond V and Naviyd. He has also reportedly asked Foster to turn over any "notes, cards, letters, photographs, film, documents, tapes, voice recordings, gifts, jewelry, or clothes" that reveals any insight on Usher's conduct during their marriage. Further fueling rumors that she hired a private investigator to keep tabs on the singer, the paper work also reportedly asked for any information gained from the "surveillance or investigation" of Usher. At press time, Usher had issued on public comment on the divorce. |
